Adopt a Cat

Before any Cat in our care is rehomed, it has been examined by a vetenary surgeon, been fully vaccinated, treated against fleas and worms, microchipped, tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) / FELV (Feline Leukaemia Virus) and neutered (for kittens that are not old enough to be neutered, a full cost neutering voucher will be issued.

Each adoption comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance with Pet Plan (terms and conditions apply).

The fee for adopting a cat or kitten from the Grimsby Cats Protection is £50.

On average, the work that we do costs £180 per cat in our care; any additional donations would be gratefully appreciated and used towards helping more cats in our care.

Home Visit

Before you can adopt, you will need to have a short informal home visit by one of our volunteers.

This is just to ensure that the cat(s) or kitten(s) we rehome, will be suited to your home, family and lifestyle.

If you live in rented accommodation, you must obtain written consent from your landlord to keep pets at the property.

When getting in touch, please make sure that you give your name, full address including your postcode, a contact telephone number, and if possible an e-mail address as we require these before starting any adoption process.
